We asked Antonella Faedi of Campomaggi to share her hidden Milan gems.
Scoop is a truly international show and we’re pleased to welcome designers from all over the world each season. Celebrating one of the world’s fashion capitals, we wanted to get a true local’s take on the city of Milan. We asked Antonella Faedi of Campomaggi to share her hidden Milan gems.
True to her Italian roots, it was only natural that Antonella’s first favourite thing to do in Milan is to have “an aperitivo at the Yard Hotel, my absolute favourite hideout”. A social butterfly at heart, Antonella continues, “Naviglio is always an exciting spot to meet friends and have a drink; there are a lot of cool bars to choose from”.
If there’s one thing Milan is known for, though, it’s the shopping. Antonella tells us, “obviously, all the shopping spots are amongst my favourites and when I can, I love to grab some time and stroll through the antique markets along the canals. There are always some gorgeous finds!”
Antonella’s creative spirit drew her to fashion as a career. She says, “ever since I graduated, with a degree in foreign languages and literature, I have in fashion; my passion led me to seek work in this sector right away”.
After graduating, Antonella started in the clothing market before moving into accessories with a move to Campomaggi & Caterina Lucchi Spa. Giving us a sneak peek at the SS20 offering, Antonella says, “the collection that we will present at Scoop this season is the Campomaggi Collection. This is a very innovative collection that’s been developed in collaboration with the CEO of the company to maintain the key principles of the original Campomaggi concept”.
She continues, “craftsmanship, quality and respect for the materials are the basis of the Campomaggi design process. Our creations always amaze with their strength and uniqueness and we make sure we stay true to the spirit of our designs which are dedicated to a demanding and “globe trotting” audience.”
