New designers shine at SS20 edition of Scoop in the Summer

Much-loved contemporary womenswear trade show Scoop closed its doors on Tuesday celebrating a highly successful show with buyers and retailers attending from across the UK and Europe.

Held at the iconic Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea, London, the show offered an exclusive edit of emerging designers and accessory designer collections expertly curated by Founder, Karen Radley.

The galleries were bustling with UK and international buyers including premium department stores Galeries Lafayette, Liberty London, Harvey Nichols, The Conran Shop and Net A Porter well as independent boutiques such as Bishop Phillpott, Doyles, The Hambledon, The Dressing Room, The Mercantile London, Precious London, Jules B and Young Ideas.  Buyers and retailers also travelled from Ireland with stores such as Olori and Arnotts, enjoying the SS20 edit.

Kate Evans, Owner of Precious London commented ‘I have been coming to Scoop since it started and always find inspirational collections and new designers each time I visit.  I have found some interesting accessories this season and have bought from two new designers today.  Scoop brings together a good selection of European brands to London, I really like the Danish labels at the moment. It is great for London to have a designer trade show, before Scoop there was definitely something missing.’

The show celebrated an impressive line-up of new faces including premium collections from M.A.B.E, Self Cinema, YOLKE, Narces, I Candi Rocks, Miki MIALY, La Cabane De Stella, OOF, Sneaky Steve and Autumn Cashmere.

Karen Radley, Founder and Managing Director of Scoop commented; “Scoop is renowned internationally by designers, fashion buyers and industry experts for its exclusive presentation and expertly curated edit of designers and labels from Britain and the rest of the world.  It was wonderful to welcome an exclusive selection of new designers this season, as well as some beautiful new collections from returning labels.”

Returning favourites included Ossie Clark x Primrose Park, PS by Paul Smith, Liberty London, Charlotte Spaare, Charlotte Simone, Hayley Menzies, Scotch and Soda and Paul and Joe Sister, each showcasing their SS20 edits.

Visitors to show were able to book appointments with the Trinny London Pro Artist Team and Trinny herself, for express Make Up touch ups with tips and tricks on colour and application. Visitors could discover their colour palette to perfectly suit their skin, hair and eye combination, using their clever Match2Me system.

This season’s campaign: ‘Camp: Notes on Fashion’ saw the vibrant artwork, designed by Ratti S.p.A. Como, paying homage to this year’s fabulous Met Gala in New York, feature across the show on posters, show bags, catalogues, and our infamous Scoop scarves.  The entrance to the show was dressed in the beautiful print and lined with a floral display making a popular Instagram backdrop for visitors.

For one season only, Scoop in the City will be taking over Old Billingsgate Market, London for the February 2020 edition of the show as the Saatchi Gallery hosts an exhibition of 150 original artefacts from Tutankhamun’s tomb.  Taking place from the 9th – 11th February 2020, the beautiful building will be dramatically transformed into a fashion destination for AW20/21 collections.
